We have the skills, knowledge, and experience from every role (designer, owner, builder, etc.) to guide your cabin construction project.
And we have the empathy of working in remote areas, rural settings, and small towns with limited resources.
Big projects like this can be complicated and stressful, but having an advocate in your corner can make things a little easier, result in a better end product, and hopefully make the experience much more enjoyable.

Construction Consultancy
Our consultancy is focused on new construction and remodels of cabins in rural and remote areas. Financing, contractors, materials, and design considerations are all vastly impacted by the unique geographic places where cabins are built.
Kits & Purchased Plans
When you buy a kit or purchase plans, you omit the architecture role and process from the build. Critical considerations like your wall assemblies are now just a boilerplate key note left to your general contractor or individual trade to do what’s easiest and most convenient for them.
Building Science
“I’ve done it this way for twenty years” does not mean it’s the best way – or even the right way – to do something. Rural settings often lead to limited pools to pick from for general contractors and tradesmen. And that lack of competition can lead to some lackluster standards. We can show you the building science behind each decision and help tradesmen with new methods and materials.
Owner Advocacy
Building a home is a team effort. But rarely is a team working towards something that is for one of the members; typically, the member with the smallest role and least knowledge of the project. We’re here to level up the owner with the rest of the team and advocate for the long-term ownership that follows a home build project.
